Do you love supporting, contributing, and helping out other people? I know that when I am able to help someone or make a difference in a life situation of any kind it makes me feel wonderful. It's just the way life is. And I know that I love that feeling.

There are obvious ways to help in everyday life, for example, follow Ellen's ending message to her show, "be kind", for starters. But some of us may be wondering what we can personally do to help or to make a difference on a global level.  I wanted to share a small thing that I am doing to lessen my carbon footprint on the planet and make a difference in my business and home.

Did you know that every year 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean, creating untold amounts of microplastics when they break down? This is toxic for marine life and the ocean itself, not to mention, human beings. There is an estimated 16 billion tons of plastic currently in the ocean. Honestly, I can't even wrap my brain around that number. But I am doing something to contribute to the solution through an organization, 4ocean.

4ocean is a company that removes plastic from the ocean. They have removed almost 5 million pounds since 2017. With every $20 donation, they can remove 1 lb of plastic. When you donate, you will receive a very cool bracelet made from the plastic removed. My husband and I both got one. A small price to pay to help clean up the ocean. 

So in support of cleaning up the ocean and the earth, Real Raw Beauty is going to phase out the plastic containers and replace them with glass containers. We want to be a part of the solution, and contribute to the cleaning up of our beautiful planet.
